“… for we love to converse with all sorts of Masters; with old and modern,” says Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Join the well-known 'Vienna Baroque Orchestra' on an almost unforgettable journey through the most important epochs of Austrian music history. Experience the incomparable masterpieces of Vivaldi, Mozart, Donizetti and Tchaikovsky. Performed by virtuoso musicians and excellent opera singers in one of the most beautiful baroque halls in Vienna.
History of the Vienna Baroque Orchestra
In the heart of Vienna, where the powerful Field Marshal Count Adam Batthyány once resided, one of the architectural masterpieces of the Viennese Baroque period can still be found today, the Schönborn-Batthyány Palace. Built in 1699 according to the designs of Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, architect of Vienna's Karlskirche, the baroque building immediately takes you back to a time of opulent splendor. The impressive concert hall impresses with its remarkable construction and offers an acoustically almost unbeatable sound experience. Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of classical music and experience Vienna from its most beautiful side.
