The atmospheric Advent and Christmas concerts at Hohensalzburg Fortress are unique in their kind. Even the journey to the concert via the Salzburg Christkindlmarkt, which is illuminated with Christmas lights, puts you in the mood for this special concert evening. The special ambience of the world-famous fortress with a view of the city and countryside combined with the artistic quality of the performing ensemble ensure an unforgettable concert experience. As part of the Advent concerts, musical treasures by W. A. Mozart and his contemporaries as well as traditional Advent music from the Salzburg region are performed.
The Salzburg Advent Ensemble, which plays strings and string music, will spoil you with musical treasures during Advent. Popular classical works as well as traditional Advent music from the Salzburger Land will be performed.
The unique, atmospheric Advent concerts take place in the historical ambience of the Christmas-decorated coat of arms hall or castle hall at Hohensalzburg Fortress.
