Three, seven and ace - with these three supposedly infallible cards,
which the spirit of the dead countess revealed to him in a feverish vision, the outsider Hermann wants to win big at a card game. But at this point he no longer wants the money so that he can marry his former lover Lisa, but has become hopelessly addicted to gambling. Based on a story by Pushkin, /The Queen of Spades/ addresses the destructive loneliness resulting from social exclusion, to which the countess, Lisa and Hermann themselves fall victim.
