Im weißen Rössl - Schedule, Program & Tickets
Im weißen Rössl
Singspiel by Ralph Benatzky
In German with English surtitles
A rousing revue operetta that takes you to the heart of the Salzkammergut: It’s high season at the “Weißes Rössl” hotel inn on Lake Wolfgangsee. Pay waiter Leopold has fallen in love with his boss, the landlady Josepha Vogelhuber. But she only seems to have eyes for regular guest Dr. to have settlers. When the manufacturer Giesecke finally shows up with his daughter Ottilie and in Dr. When the settler recognizes the lawyer of his competitor Sülzheimer, intrigues and romantic confusion gain momentum.
“In the Weißen Rössl on Lake Wolfgangsee, happiness is just around the corner” … But what actually happens behind the facade? With his production, Jan Philipp Gloger takes a look behind the scenes of tourism and over-tourism that is both humorous and cutting-edge. In the white horse, a clever plot combines with the melodies of four composers. Folklore combines with jazz, Viennese song meets classical symphonic music, and underneath it all swings foxtrot, marching music and waltzes.
