After a night in the forest, far away from their parents, the siblings Hansel and Gretel can't believe their eyes: a house made entirely of gingerbread! "Knuggle, crunch, Knäuschen, who's crunching my house?" - she still sounds friendly, but soon the evil Knusperwitch shows her true face: Hansel is locked in the cage. Will Gretel manage to save her brother?

Traveling to the moon is one of mankind's greatest dreams. Jacques Offenbach turned it into a “science fiction opera” with enchanting music. In a production created for the whole family by the French director and costume designer Laurent Pelly, this work will be shown for the first time at the Vienna Volksoper. "Set the stage free!" is the motto for the Junge Volksoper, because the stars of this production are the children's choir and the youth choir as well as the opera studio - i.e. the youngest members of our ensemble!

"Happy is he who forgets what cannot be changed!" It is probably the most popular, but certainly the most Viennese of all operettas: Johann Strauss' immortal bat.
