Café Drechsler: And Now … Boogie! - Schedule, Program & Tickets
Café Drechsler: And Now … Boogie!
Even more irresistible, even more direct: The cult band Café Drechsler is back in the MuTh again, with the jazzy album "And Now ... Boogie". Here, reduction to the essentials is announced, honest, intensive - the acoustic Trio Café Drechsler pure!
Years ago Alex Deutsch, Oliver Steger and Ulrich Drechsler developed a completely independent style that knows only one goal - DANCING! Founded in the year 2000, the trio attracted a lot of attention, especially through the albums "Café Drechsler" (2002) and "Radio Snacks" (2004). On the current album, the irresistible mix turns out
Trip-Hop, Breakbeat, Drum'n'Bass, Minimal & Detroit Techno and so much more.
Inspired by the best of what the current acoustic and electronic club music has to offer, the two-piece rhythm section provides merciless beats and subbassings, and is based, among other things, on what is otherwise known only from programmed electronic music. And the saxophone à la Drechsler exudes lots of melodies, rhythms and sounds again. More is not needed. Not really!
