What's going on at the theater at night? the Vienna Boys' Choir want to know. Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas was being played; a play is planned for the next day. Puck, the Elf King's jester, gathers the props behind the scenes. The choir boys help him with this. Together they come up with more and more nocturnal pieces of music, from operas, concerts and musicals. There are elf choirs, witch songs and magic spells by Mendelssohn, Schubert, Schumann and Brahms - and the most famous songs from "Wicked" and the "Magician of Oz".
Director Monika Steiner stages a mysterious, magical evening that lingers on for a long time.
